“From Apartment Plates to Baltimore Greats.”
About ChefRocks
From the Apartment to the Restaurant
ChefRockndidn’t start with a fancy kitchen, investors, or a big restaurant. It started with a passion for cooking, an apartment kitchen, and a car.
Before there was a restaurant, ChefRock was selling dinners straight from his apartment and delivering food from Baltimore to D.C. and everywhere in between. Word traveled quickly. People came for the food, told their friends, and kept coming back.
Over time, a few dishes became impossible to ignore. The jumbo lump crab cakes became a signature. The lamb chops covered in ChefRocks’ honey BBQ jerk sauce developed a following of their own. And then there are the crab cake egg rolls. If you know, you know.
But ChefRocks brand was never supposed to be just about selling food.
Growing up in the hood gave ChefRocks a firsthand understanding of the challenges that come with it, particularly for Black men trying to build something positive for themselves, their families, and their communities. That experience is part of the reason community matters so much to the ChefRocks brand.
The goal is to create something people from the neighborhood can be proud of: quality food, an upscale experience, genuine hospitality, and a business that never forgets where it came from.
From selling dinners out of an apartment and a car to opening restaurant doors, the mission hasn't really changed:
Feed people well. Treat people right. Give the community something worth coming home to.

“I have traveled across galaxies and fought for the fate of Cybertron, yet nothing prepared my systems for ChefRocks Cuisine. The lamb chops were powerful, the crab cake was worthy of an Autobot, and that honey BBQ jerk sauce nearly caused a malfunction in my taste sensors. ChefRock , you have earned the respect of the Autobots. We will roll out… but only after ordering another plate.”

“In Wakanda, we do not hand out praise easily. But these crab cake egg rolls? I may have to speak with Shuri about importing them. The lamb chops disappeared before the Dora Milaje could secure the table, and I refuse to discuss who finished the mac and cheese. Just understand, if anyone asks, the King of Wakanda was never here.”

“By Odin’s beard… what sorcery is happening in this kitchen? I came seeking a feast worthy of Asgard and found lamb chops so tender even Mjolnir could cut them. Then came the crab cake egg rolls, and suddenly returning to Asgard seemed considerably less important. Heimdall, keep the Bifrost open. I’m taking another order to go.”
